Both cultures came into contact at the end of the 19th century, with the Japanese diaspora to the Americas.
Peru and Japan share the same ocean, similar climates and both have gastronomic richness.
As a result, Nikkei cuisine emerged.
The result of this is ceviche, tiradito and maki sushi with Peruvian spices.
